Purchasing & Sending

Are there any fees associated with the eGift Card? No. You will only be charged the face value of the eGift Card, and we will not impose shipping or any other fees at any time.

Can I change the value of an eGift Card after I've paid for it? Not at this time.

What type of eGift Card can I purchase? At this time you can purchase a Coles eGift Card which can be used at Coles Supermarkets or Bi-Lo. Coles eGift Cards cannot be used for purchases from Coles Online.

How do I cancel the purchase of an eGift Card? If you chose a delivery date that is in the future, you can cancel your purchase by contacting Customer Support. If the delivery date is today or in the past, your purchase cannot be cancelled.

What payment methods do you accept? VISA, MasterCard, Direct Debit, Diners and American Express.

What is a credit card Security Code and why is it required? In order to protect you from unauthorized transactions, we require your credit card's Security Code.

       
  • MasterCard, VISA: The Security Code is the 3-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of your card. It immediately follows the account number.
  • American Express: The card Security Code is printed above the imprinted card number on the front of the card (on either the left or right)

When is my credit card charged for my purchase? Your credit card is charged at the time of purchase. This purchase will appear on your credit/debit card statement as Coles Group Gift Card, however this may vary dependant on the banking institution processing the transaction.

Can I send two (or more) eGift Cards to two (or more) different people who share an email address? Yes, you may create and send multiple eGift Cards to multiple recipients all in one purchase.

Do I need to register to place an order? Yes. Before you place an order, you will need to register as a client of Coles Group & Myer Corporate Services. Registering your details allows us to provide a more efficient level of service, including:

  1. Faster order processing
  2. Ability to track the status of your orders upon request; and
  3. Notifying you about enhancements to the Coles Group & Myer Gift Card program

How do I update my company and/or personal details? Company and/or personal details can be updated using our Client Registration Form.

What are the Gift Card Order Terms and Conditions? The Gift Card Order Terms and Conditions contain important information about ordering Gift Cards through Coles Group & Myer Corporate Services. Please take time to read the Gift Card Order Terms and Conditions before you place an order.

Is there a minimum dollar amount or number of eGift Cards I need to purchase in an order? There is no minimum quantity of cards you can order. The minimum dollar amount that can be loaded onto an eGift Card is $5.00.

Will I get a receipt or tax invoice? Yes. A tax invoice is issued as soon as Coles Group & Myer Corporate Services process your order and payment is received.

Can I order cards from outside Australia? Yes, we accept orders from overseas, but only deliver to Australian email addresses.

Can I negotiate a discount on orders? For specific questions about your business and discounts, please contact Coles Group & Myer Corporate Services on 1300 725 159.

Are the eGift Cards sent to me or can I nominate another person or company? eGift Cards can be delivered to any person nominated as the delivery recipient.

How long will my order take to deliver? The delivery time of eGift Cards will vary depending on the volume ordered in a single order.

Can I use the Gift Card images in promotional or marketing activities? Not at this time.

Receiving & Redeeming

What exactly does the recipient receive when I send an eGift Card? On the delivery date you choose, a message is sent to the recipient informing them of your gift, with a link to retrieve it online. The link in the email goes to a page showing the eGift Card you created (the design you selected, with your recipient's name and your personalized message), its value and code number. This page also gives simple instructions for redeeming the eGift Card.

When is the eGift Card sent to the recipient? The eGift Card alert message is sent to the recipient on the date you choose. The delivery date is pre-set to the current date, so if you do not select a different date, the alert message is sent on the same day as your purchase.

Where can I use my eGift Card? You can use your eGift Card at any Coles or Bi-Lo Supermarkets. Coles eGift Cards cannot be used on Coles Online at this time.

Does the recipient need a special printer? Does the recipient need to print colour? No and no. Most standard office and household printers are equipped to print eGift Cards, and you do not need to print in colour. Some printers produce great results, and older printers sometimes don't print certain images well, but the most important thing is that the barcode and PIN number is clear.

When does the eGift Card expire? An eGift Card expires 2 years from the date of issue.

Can I reload my eGift Card after I've spent the full value? Not at this time.

How do I find out how much is left on a eGift Card? You can check your eGift Card balance online by selecting "Check Balance" from the top right corner of a page. You will need to sign in using your eGift Card number and 4-digit PIN.

Every time the recipient uses their eGift Card, the remaining balance is printed on your receipt. You can also check your card balance at selected registers in stores or by calling our Customer Response Team on 1300 304 990.

Security & Reliability

Is my order secure? All personal and financial information is transmitted using the https protocol over a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), utilizing state of the art technology for consumer protection. Behind the scenes, your web browser is sending all personal and financial information over SSL. The eGift Card purchase process is fully PCI compliant. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Customer Support.

How do I know the recipient actually received the eGift Card I sent them? You will receive an email message confirming delivery, and a message notifying you that the eGift Card has been viewed. If the eGift Card goes un-viewed for 15 days after delivery, you will receive a message with options for resolving the issue. You may also contact Customer Support with the order number from the email you received confirming your purchase, and we can tell you if the recipient has viewed their eGift Card.

What if I lose my eGift Card? Your eGift Card has cash value and should be safeguarded as such. If you lose your printed eGift Card, contact Customer Support immediately. If your eGift Card has not been redeemed or has some remaining value, we can cancel the original and issue you a new eGift Card for that value.

What if someone makes a copy of my printed eGift Card? Our state of the art technology helps protect against fraud, but you must safeguard your eGift Card for your own protection. If someone makes a copy of your Gift Card and redeems it for the full amount, your copy will have no value. No matter how many copies are made, the value of the eGift Card is tied to the eGift Card number. When that number is used, the value of the purchase is deducted from the eGift Card. If you suspect that someone has copied or stolen your eGift Card, contact Customer Support immediately.

Who is Coles Group Limited? Coles Group Limited is one of Australia's largest retailers with more than 2900 stores throughout Australia.

Can I collect FlyBuys points when I make a purchase using my eGift Card? Yes. At participating FlyBuys retailers, whenever you make a purchase with your eGift Card and present your FlyBuys card, you can collect FlyBuys points (including any applicable bonus points).

Is there anything I can't use my eGift Card for? Yes, some restrictions apply. You cannot use eGift Cards for:

  • - Credit card or store card payments
  • - Online purchases
